Coming events, Spring Term 2010.

A number of events are planned for the remainder of this spring term and the summer term.

Sporting activities include participation in various events such as a local football/netball tournament organised by the police, "Aquasplash" (a swimming event at Torrington Pool), a Dance Festival at G.T.S, and a Cross Country event at Kingsley School. The summer term promises to be equally busy, with a number of events already booked in. The Year 5/6 children will be going again to the Gold Coast Oceanfest event at Croyde - always an enjoyable day!

The School Council have a number of events planned. A non-school uniform day will be supporting the North Devon Hospice, and there will be an event taking place to support Sport Relief. They also have plans for the summer term, including a possible "School on Wheels Day."

Our "buddy" system continues to work well - part of Friday afternoon is usually spent working with "buddies" from a different class. The theme for the next few weeks is "Outer Space," linked with the topic in class one at the moment.

Our outdoor play activities continue to grow. The new adventure boat (provided by "The Friends of the School") is being enjoyed by all the children, and the new "play tops" for the picnic benches will prove popular as the weather improves!
