Welcome to Class 1 with Mrs O'Donoghue and Mrs Guy

Yesterday we were so lucky to welcome the author Petr Horacek to Class 1. Petr gave us the most amazing talk about his books, drew wonderful illustrations for us and had the children screeching and giggling in awe! 🤩 We really had a wonderful time!

Thank you so much to The Appledore Book Festival for visiting us. The children all took home a complimentary book of Petr’s too! 📚

Good afternoon!
We have had a great first week and everyone is settling into Class 1 well 🙂

Reading books have come home with the children today, if your child did not have their book bag in school today, please send it in so that we can give them their new reading book.

Please try to read with and to your child every night. Please write in their reading reaches every time you do as this will add dojos each week!

Next Wednesday, we will check through reading records, tick off the number of times they have read or shared books at home, read any comments you have made and swap books. They will also start to bring home a picture book to share from next week.
