PE and Sport Premium
The government is committed to ensuring that children and young people have access to at least 60 minutes of sport and physical activity per day, with a recommendation of 30 minutes of this delivered during the school day.
The PE and Sport Premium is additional funding allocated to schools that can help to achieve this aim. This additional government funding supports additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of the PE, physical activity and sport offered through the core budgets.

PE Sport Spend Proposals for 2024/2025
- Continue with high quality PE across the school, aiming to retain the platinum award for sport.
- In order to create a lasting legacy and interest in a range of sports, with the limitations of no hall, we will look to take the children to a range of activities, events and training opportunities outside of the school e.g. tennis, golf, gymnastics, swimming and athletics.
- Continue with high quality playtimes with range of equipment (e.g. High 5 posts) and additional staff.
- Developing Outdoor Adventurous Activities / Forest School area
- Time and resources for less active pupils. Enjoying and making HITT quick sessions fun!
- Year 6 Time to Shine
- Emphasis being placed on children who have engaged less with exercise
- Mental wellbeing
- To enjoy our new Running Track. To open this space up to parents to benifit from.
- To work with Local Clubs. Not only during our PE sessions but to show Children and parents what we have available on our doorstep for after School.
