We are a popular school and several of our year groups are often almost full, so we advise you to check availability of places early. You will need to follow the link  at bottom of the page to register for a place.

There is one admissions date for new reception children in September. Part time education will be in the summer term for all rising fives. This takes the form of one afternoon a week progressing to one or two full days before the end of that term.

Pre Statutory School Age Part time offer

At Monkleigh Primary school the expectation, if a family accepts a Reception school place at our mainstream setting, is that the child will attend full time from the start of the academic year.

If, however, parents of children who are not statutory school age want their child to attend part time we would urge them to only stagger their entry in the first two weeks in September (that is, every morning for first two weeks of the academic year).

If parents persist in wanting a continued part time offer, then one Friday PM once a month until the child reaches statutory school age will be considered.

Any other absence will not be authorised.
